Daan Braakman

Daan Braakman is a policy adviser for Universities of the Netherlands, in the International and Research & Impact domains.

 

Within the International domain, his focus area is student mobility: Erasmus+, the Holland Scholarship Programme, Internationalisation at Home and the National Inclusive Internationalisation Committee.

 

At Research & Impact, he acts as official secretary for the meetings involving the Knowledge Transfer Officers (KTO) and the growth fund network.

 

After completing primary and secondary school in Germany, Daan studied Chemistry (BSc) at the University of Amsterdam, and History and Philosophy of Science (MSc) at Utrecht University. During his bachelor's degree, he completed an Erasmus+ programme at Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris. He also worked as a seminar lecturer at the University of Amsterdam from 2016-2022, and completed a BlueBook Traineeship with the Scientific Advice Mechanism of the European Commission in 2020/2021.
