Thomas de Groot

Thomas de Groot began working for Universities of the Netherlands as a policy adviser. His specialist areas within the HR domain include Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) negotiations, and workload. He is also a member of the Public Affairs team, where he closely monitors education and research developments in politics. 

 

Thomas completed his BA in Public Governance at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, and his MSc in International Relations and Security from VU Amsterdam. During his studies, he sat on the board of the youth association for a national political party, completed an internship at the Dutch House of Representatives, worked as a political secretary for a coalition party in the municipality of Haarlem, and later as a municipal council member in his home town of Hoorn.
