Gijs Kooistra

Gijs Kooistra (1997) works at the Universiteiten van Nederland as a policy adviser in the domains of Finance and Governance & Accountability. Within these domains, he focuses on the costing model, integrated security and participation bodies.

 

Gijs joined the Universiteiten van Nederland in 2021. Before that, he did a Bachelor's in Political Science and a Master's in Comparative Politics at Radboud University in Nijmegen. During his student days, Gijs was active in the local student union, served as a member of the programme committee of his degree programme and chaired the University Student Council. As part of the latter role, he was also a member of the executive committee of LOVUM, the national committee of chairs of university participation bodies. In addition, Gijs did several student assistantships. This included giving statistics workshops to Bachelor's students and assisting his faculty's vice-dean of education with her work.'
