Annemieke van Barneveld-Biesma

Annemieke van Barneveld-Biesma is the project leader for Lifelong Learning and Human Capital Agendas within Universiteiten van Nederland. She works closely together with the Lifelong Learning network and the Learning Community at the universities in order to set up subprojects and safeguard the sharing of knowledge within the universities. She continues to build the necessary networks and partnerships around Lifelong Learning and human capital with other education umbrella organisations, ministries, councils and the business community. Annemieke's role at Universiteiten van Nederland is to connect the universities with investment and human capital agendas, particularly in the fields of ICT/AI/Cyber, climate/energy and entrepreneurship.

 

Annemieke has been working on policy issues surrounding human capital and lifelong learning for 14 years. She previously worked as a principal consultant in higher education and in human capital policy at Technopolis Group. Before that, she was an education and labour market policy consultant at Ecorys. Prior to that, she worked on European issues in Brussels. Annemieke completed her studies abroad, taking on Cultural Science at the University of West Virginia in the United States and Economics at the University of Bath in the UK.
