Roel Esselink

Roel Esselink (b. 1993) is a policy adviser at the Universiteiten van Nederland. He works in the Association domain, where his tasks include handling the preparations for executive consultations and writing the Universiteiten van Nederland its long-term plan. Roel also works in the Communications and Public Affairs domain, where his main focus is on editorial work and organising events such as the Universiteiten van Nederland Knowledge Breakfast.

 

Roel studied Dutch Law at Leiden University, graduating with a Master’s degree with a specialisation in Jurisprudence and Philosophy of Law. In his Master’s thesis, Roel explored the current state of academic education in law and addressed current and future challenges in the field. During his studies, Roel did an internship at the Dutch embassy in Lithuania and worked as a student assistant at Leiden University.
