Sofie Dings
Sofie Dings (1994) is a policy adviser in the Research and Valorisation Department. Her topics of interest include academic integrity, systemic pressure, the PhD system, quality assurance and research evaluations (SEP), and European research policy. In addition, she provides support on behalf of Universiteiten van Nederland to the Rectors’ Conference of the Dutch universities.
Sofie became a policy adviser at Universiteiten van Nederland in 2019. In 2019-2020 she contributed to projects concerning education, internationalisation, research and valorisation.
She graduated from the academic teacher training programme at Radboud University Nijmegen, where she also worked as a student assistant and sat on the Faculty Council at the Faculty of Social Sciences for the student faction. In 2017 she received her MSc in Psychology and Law at Maastricht University, which involved six months of research at Shanghai University. Before joining Universiteiten van Nederland, Sofie worked as marketing consultant in Shanghai and as a primary school teacher in Rotterdam.
