Boudewijn Peters

Boudewijn Peters (b. 1960) is head of the Finance Department. In this role, Boudewijn is responsible for updating the strategic portfolio and managing the entire process from thought development to decision-making. He collaborates closely with specialists at the universities and works as a networker and general adviser to promote national cooperation. He serves as strategic adviser for the Universiteiten van Nederland its General Board, whose members include all fourteen presidents of the Dutch universities. 

Boudewijn studied Dutch Law at Radboud University and completed a teacher training programme in Economics at Tilburg University. Before joining the Universiteiten van Nederland in April 2019, Boudewijn worked as group auditor for the Open University. Prior to that, he was Director of Information Provision and Finances at UMC Utrecht. Boudewijn previously worked at the Ministry of Finance as Finance Inspector (Directorate-General for the Dutch national budget), Director of Finance for Public Entities and Director of Financial and Economic Affairs.
