Suzanne van de Weg

Suzanne van de Weg (1971) serves as the Board's point of contact for financial matters. She advises the director on the formulation of the Universiteiten van Nederland its tactical and operational financial policy and coordinates structures for the effective planning and control of the operational processes in order to ensure integral and optimal business operations.

 

Suzanne initiates and, together with the clients, makes improvements to the financial processes in the office and monitors the implementation of the policy.

 

Furthermore, she also coordinates the implementation of the Universiteiten van Nederland office's financial administration

 

Suzanne studied Business Economics in The Hague. After four months of backpacking through North America and various financial positions, Suzanne worked as a controller for seven years before transitioning to a marketing analyst position at the ANWB (Royal Dutch Touring Club). Both roles brought her a great deal of experience in advising management on finances and marketing. In 2006, she made the switch to asset management and set up the middle office at a medium-sized pension fund, and she obtained SAS70 type I, SAS70 type II and ISAE3402 type II certification back-to-back.

 

Suzanne is an ambitious professional with an inquisitive nature who enjoys bringing structure into projects. She takes a pragmatic approach and focuses on practical improvements that make the Universiteiten van Nederland its work and information provision clearer and more transparent.
