Student Research Conference

The Student Research Conference (SRC) is an annual conference, the aim of which is to put Bachelor's research in the spotlight as well as to gain and increase the enthusiasm among students for academic research. This conference gives students the unique opportunity of presenting their undergraduate research to each other and a varied audience. It also enables them to experience academic practice by attending a conference. The Student Research Award – the prize awarded for the best Bachelor's research in the Netherlands and Flanders – is presented during the conference as well.

The tradition of organising a Dutch conference for Bachelor's research harks back to a partnership between University College Roosevelt and the VSNU, which reflects existing initiatives in the United States, England and Ireland. Here as well, conferences are organised every year to stress the importance of research as part of an academic education and to involve young academics in research of this nature at an early stage.
