Unemployment Regulation of the Dutch Universities Exceeding the Statutory Minimum(BWNU)

The universities have their own arrangements governing unemployment, sickness and disability, and sickness costs. Agreements on social security are not set out in the CLA booklet, but in separate annexes.

If University staff becomes unemployed, they can claim unemployment benefit and, potentially, supplementary unemployment benefit. The arrangements are set out in the Unemployment Regulation. You will find more information on the Regulation and the application procedure in the downloads bellow.
